Rotting Soil.
My friend Ben Hethcoat has been working recently on a film project called Gary's Garden. It's a black comedy of sorts that has a pretty good independent production behind it. Ben is one of the producers, the writer and plays Brady, a member of the Latter Day Saints, currently searching for his dead friend. Did I spoil it for you? Well its a series so there'll be plenty of more opportunities for more of that. You can check out more of it on the website Rotting Soil.
In the meantime, watch the trailer after the jump.

Heritage Collection.
So one of the main points I've left out when talking about this past trip to NY was the photo shoot with Nitty Scott, MC of the SHHO lookbook. She happily modeled for our heritage collection and she and her whole crew were a pleasure to work with.
Hit the jump for more photos. The items will be for sale in the near future.
Letter To Self.
About a year has passed since I made my first music video. Before anyone else, there was Millz. I had never even thought about music videos until the 2am crew approached me with a little idea only to come into fruition recently. A College Project has been working with 2am with their Chasing Forever project for some time now and they'll be slowly releasing material until the final mixtape drops March 22nd. Stay updated at thesecondhour.

The Second Hour.
Yesterday at 2am was the launch of The Second Hour, website for 2am Recordings and our friend Millz' announcement of the official release date of his latest mixtape, Chasing Forever. 3.22.11. I've worked with him and the 2am crew extensively throughout the past year and I know they definitely have some impressive things lined up. Aside from A College Project creating the website, we also produced the photos and videos alongside brother organization SHHO.
The first leak off of Chasing Forever is entitled The Conversation with none other than Richmond's own, Nickelus F.
Hit the jump to check out the track. It's 2am homie.

Wise Words.
ODU SHHO just announced their first event as an organization by bringing Malice of the Clipse for a lecture, Q&A, book signing, meet and greet, and hell he might even play musical chairs with you. Who knows what can happen? He'll be stopping by Norfolk March 3rd so make sure you mark your calendars.
If that's not good enough for you, UVA SHHO will also be bringing Grammy award winning producer 9th Wonder for a lecture in February 22nd. Isn't expansion great? Isn't learning great? Both events are free and open to the public.

Tone.
Last but not least on the NY to do list was to meet up with photographer Tone. So we hopped on the PATH train and headed over to Jersey to be humbled one last time before we headed back to Fist City. We had a conversation about the usual. Aspirations, recent events, basically we spoke to a friend that we hadn't seen in years when in reality we caught up with someone who we never met before.

Chitty Nitty Bang Bang.
Let's start off this post with some food again. Now I usually don't like white pizza but I guess I never had it quite right... Lisa. Here's a slice of some artichoke pizza from Artichoke in the East Village. When I first saw it on my friend's plate, it didn't look too appealing. But all pizza kind of looks alike. If I had one sound to describe this pizza, I'd use the sound of a unicorn farting. And it sounds awesome.
On the way to Queens to meet up with a new friend, we ran into these dudes dancing in the metro. This is where you can tell we're out of town. Metros architecturally just blow my mind. So do underwater tunnels and rockets. Anyways, this dude was dancing which also kind of blew my mind. He ended it by taking off all his clothes and running out as the doors opened. New York is so bizarre.

The KDU.
Our first official stop in New York was at the headquarters of the Keystone Design Union in Brooklyn. It is a Design & Communication Agency that has over 1,000 members in more than 80 countries. The KDU has worked with Hennessy, Diesel, Reebok, and tons more. It's basically a group of smart and creative friends that work together. A Justice League if you will.

Vacation to the Snow.
Most people want to escape the cold and visit a nice, warm locale to get away from all the hectic stress at work. For some reason we decided to go to New York. We just touched down in the city and immediately wandered the streets for some good eats.
We ended up at Ess-a-Bagel on 1st Avenue to satisfy our hungry after a six hour, death-ridden ride to Big Apple. The whole experience was very delicious to say the least.
